Multimode fiber (multi-mode fiber or MM fiber or optical fiber) is a kind of optical fiber which is mainly used for short distance communication, such as inside buildings or inside campus.The typical multi-mode link has a data rate of 10 Mbit/s to 10 Gbit/s at the length of the link up to 600 meters (10 Gbit/s), which is much larger than most places.
